Parasite Is Brilliant Insight Into The Class War

Parasite, the latest film by South Korean director Bong Joon-ho (Snowpiercer), is a sometimes outlandish, sometimes horrifying and at all times brilliant look into the class war through the eyes of a poor family of four who become the domestic help for a wealthy family.

When Sarah saw the film at the Toronto International Film Festival the consensus among critics was mostly “holy shit.”

TIFF 2019: Honey Boy Is A Complex Work From Shia LaBeouf

Honey Boy

Shia LaBeouf’s new film Honey Boy charts the relationship and eventual fallout between a child star and his father.

It’s a deep, complex piece that almost sheds any association with Michael Bay from LaBeouf’s resume.

Sarah reviewed the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival for Consequence of Sound.
