One of my favourite thing I worked on this year was helping edit international rock ‘n’ roll star Danko Jones’ new book I’ve Got Something To Say.

To help promote said book Danko had me on his long-running podcast in the fall.

We didn’t actually do much “promotion” of the book, but we sure had a time gossiping and light trash talking all sorts of things music.

The rebooted Halloween horror franchise is a really big deal in some (bloodthirsty) circles, so Sarah was assigned to cover the film when it showcased at TIFF this fall.

Harmonium And Glenn Gould Featured On Polaris Podcast EP12

Polaris Podcast EP7 was live from Ottawa.

For episode 12 of the Polaris Podcast we focused on two albums that recently received Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize hall of fame designation — Harmonium’s L’Heptade and Glenn Gould’s Bach: The Goldberg Variations.

This episode featured analysis of the Gould record from CBC Radio’s Katherine Duncan and an interview with Harmonium’s Louis Valois to discuss the album some people call Quebec’s Dark Side Of The Moon.

Polaris Podcast EP11 Explores The Band And Gordon Lightfoot

Polaris Podcast EP7 was live from Ottawa.

In episode 11 of the Polaris Podcast we focused on two albums that recently received Slaight Family Polaris Heritage Prize hall of fame designation — The Band’s The Band and Gordon Lightfoot’s Lightfoot!.

This episode featured expert analysis of these albums from music historian Rob Bowman and author Nick Jennings as well as some bonus insights from Travis Good of The Sadies.

Polaris Podcast Focuses On 2017 Winner Lido Pimienta

Polaris Podcast EP7 was live from Ottawa.

Lido Pimienta’s La Papessa album won the 2017 Polaris Music Prize.
