Holtzmann from Ghostbusters

Holtzmann from Ghostbusters

Someone from the Risky Fuel household (not me) has been obsessed with Kate McKinnon’s Ghostbusters character Holtzmann since the movie came out.

Grimes’ Thunder Machine Rolls On

Grimes

Grimes

When music people take stock of 2016 one of the most important breakout stars this year will be electro-producer Grimes.

With a fiercely independent music-making streak and a uniquely fantastical vision, she’s created a unique sound and path that’s been fascinating to behold.

Sarah wrote about them for Fightland.

Kung fu nuns

Kung fu nuns

The Drukpa Lineage nuns from a Himalayan Buddhist order have been getting a lot of attention in recent months for a campaign where they’ve been cycling across the Himalayas to raise awareness about and to combat human trafficking.

These same cycling nuns, 500 or so strong, also happen to be regular, avid kung fu participants.

Sarah wrote about them for Asian World Of Martial Arts.
