The 84-Year-Old Who Brought Karate To Her Care Center

Dot Naylor, a pioneering 84-year-old British karate black belt, wanted to watch and judge one last karate tournament.

So with the help of Wishing Washing Line, a community outreach program designed to fulfill the dreams of care residents, karate students came to the St. Fillans Care Centre in Colchester, England so she could fulfill her wish.

Sarah wrote about why this makes for such a fulfilling journey in Asian World Of Martial Arts.

Polaris Podcast Explores The 2017 Longer List

Somewhat lost in the mega-hype and astronomical success of Black Panther is the fact that the film finally allowed Academy Award-winning actor Lupita Nyong’o the opportunity to showcase her longstanding appreciation for martial arts.
