Tom Hardy as Charles Bronson
One of Tom Hardy’s early signature roles was playing the real-life prison toughie Charles Bronson in the 2008 film Bronson.
To play Bronson effectively Hardy underwent a rather unique workout regime.

Mike Tyson’s Bitcoin machine
Former boxing champ/current pop culture wind up doll Mike Tyson apparently has some Bitcoin machines in Las Vegas.
As someone who’s still reluctant to use their debit card this digital currency stuff is well foreign to me.
It’s also foreign to Sarah as well, but she was nonetheless tasked with writing about Tyson’s new venture for Fightland.

‘Portal To Hell’ featuring Roddy Piper
The late Roddy Piper was a true legend, so when the 2015 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival screened one of his last films, Portal To Hell, Sarah made a point of talking to writer Matt Watts and director Vivieno Caldinelli about the Rowdy one.
It turns out that Watts and Caldinelli were huge marks for Piper and they couldn’t say enough good things about the man behind Piper’s Pit.

Beyonce
Perhaps as a response to Taylor Swift’s uncomfortably vampiric need to bring famous women onstage as part of her concerts, the Queen B Beyonce recently shared a bit of gal power from the stage in Philadelphia with another strong woman — MMA fighter Ronda Rousey.
Now, Rousey didn’t actually appear on stage with Beyonce. But Beyonce used Rousey’s increasingly iconic “Do Nothing Bitch” speech to introduce her song “Diva.”
Sarah wrote about this natural coming together of elemental forces for Fightland.
