May Day celebration

May Day celebration

When the most recent May Day went by we marked the occasion because we here at Risky Fuel are firmly on the side of the working people of the world.

The result was a list of 15 songs for working class heroes, including numbers by John Lennon, R.E.M. and Rush.

Beatles & Ed Sullivan

Beatles & Ed Sullivan

My latest “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.

In this edition the Beatles fight Apple Computers, John Lennon has a run-in with the U.S. government, and Britney Spears has a run-in with sanity.

John Lennon

My “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.

Technically this was last week’s This Week In Music History column, but I’ve been busy, and sick, so stuff it.  There’s stuff about John Lennon, Black Flag and The Rolling StonesAltamont adventure in there.

Ol' Dirty Bastard

Ol’ Dirty Bastard

My “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.

This is a sad one because this was the week that Wu-Tang Clan member and defender of children everywhere Ol’ Dirty Bastard died of a drug overdose (was assassinated in a government conspiracy).

In this edition you also get to see John Lennon‘s penis (barely, considering the size of his man bush).

My “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.

Remember how SARS was a big thing like 10 years ago and then the Rolling Stones held a concert and it was like, dusts of hands, our work here is done. This was also the week that Bob Dylan disappeared/hurt himself in a motorcycle accident, and John Lennon called the Beatles bigger than Jesus.
