Kickboxer Jo Redman
When Sarah found out about British kickboxing champ Jo Redman’s story it was one that felt very familiar to her.
Both have trained in martial arts and both have been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.
Redman explained to Sarah how this affects her combat career in an interview for Fightland.

Georges St. Pierre’s RushFit
With the growing success of mixed martial arts has come a corresponding increase in bizarre, semi-related exercise programs designed to capitalize on said success.
Sarah, being familiar with both mma and exercise, took a look at a number of the big programs, including Georges St. Pierre’s RushFit.

Google has jiu-jitsu now
Google, everyone’s favourite all-consuming search engine/information factory, has recently started offering Brazilian jiu-jitsu classes for its employees.
And they’re going to get good training, too, courtesy of world champ Milton Bastos.
Sarah interviewed Bastos about this for Fightland. He says a match-up between Google and Facebook BJJ practitioners in the future.

Jean-Claude VanDamme
It’s looking like there’s going to be a remake of the classic Jean-Claude VanDamme film, Kickboxer.
The cast will include the likes of Guardians Of The Galaxy breakout wrestle-star Bautista and Canada’s favourite MMAer Georges St. Pierre, amongst others.
Because we don’t really trust Hollywood, Sarah checked out the martial arts creds for some of the other cast members to make sure they’re going to bring the real. It turns out this film could be seriously legit.

Mike Tyson
In news that apparently doesn’t signal a revival of In Living Color, actor Jamie Foxx appears to be set to play Iron Mike Tyson in an upcoming biographic film called The Mike Tyson Story.
