Fightland recently gave Sarah a very special quest to follow: determine who the best trash talker in MMA is right now.

Foxcatcher Director Bennett Miller Says Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo Have Cauliflower Ear

Channing Tatum's ear

Channing Tatum’s ear

If early reports are true, Foxcatcher may be the best (only?) film ever made about amateur wrestling.

One of the main reasons for this was the dedication of its two stars Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo to actually train for the movie.

They trained so hard, in fact, that they both developed cauliflower ear — the mark of a true wrestler.

Sarah talked to director Bennett Miller about this and more when he was in town promoting the film during TIFF.

UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones used to be sponsored by Nike.

Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell 4: Dance-Fight

Randy Couture

Randy Couture

As UFC history tells it, there have been three fights between Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, with Liddell scoring two victories to Couture’s one.

History is wrong, though.

The pair have (sort of) squared off in another field of battle as well — the hardwood floor of Dancing With The Stars.

Sarah analyzed the respective foxtrots the two did while on the dancing reality show.

Ninjas, Chuck Norris And Cannon Films

Chuck Norris

Chuck Norris

When the Toronto International Film Festival was on Sarah had the chance to speak with Mark Hartley, the man behind the documentary film, Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films.

If “Cannon Films” doesn’t ring a bell, the company’s imprint on pop culture certainly does. They’re the people who brought Chuck Norris, breakdancing movies, ninjas and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 to the masses a few decades ago.
