If early reports are true, Foxcatcher may be the best (only?) film ever made about amateur wrestling.

One of the main reasons for this was the dedication of its two stars Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo to actually train for the movie.

They trained so hard, in fact, that they both developed cauliflower ear — the mark of a true wrestler.

Sarah talked to director Bennett Miller about this and more when he was in town promoting the film during TIFF.

The movie Foxcatcher debuted at the Cannes film festival this week and its reception may signal the creation of a new sub-genre — the meaningful amateur wrestling film.

Indeed, Foxcatcher is being hailed as the next great sports movie and Sarah explained what all the hype was about for Fightland.
