Mystery Machine

Mystery Machine

Under-appreciated ’90s British Columbian shoegazers Mystery Machine recently released Western Magnetics, their first album in 14 years. For anyone who had a campus radio show back in the day the slicing noise rock of it will be comfortingly familiar.

I spoke to the MM guys about their coming out of hibernation for Spinner.

Basically, it’s not going to be some crazy free jazz freakout. Mostly it’ll be like past City And Colour albums,  featuring “sad sounding, melancholy songs.”
