Judas Priest’s Evil, Satanic, Devilish, Sinister Pre-Show Ritual

Judas Priest

Judas Priest

When Sarah spoke to Judas Priest lead singer Rob Halford recently, one of the topics that came up was the horrifically evil way the metal band gets warmed up for each show.

It’s truly devilish.

100 Best Canadian Songs Ever

Whoo, Canada!

Whoo, Canada!

Because it’s Canada Day the folks at Huffington Post Music Canada enlisted Team Risky Fuel to help compile their 100 Best Canadian Songs Ever.

There were a couple rules: an artist can only appear on the list once, and, we would try to represent every genre and modern Can-pop time period in some way shape or form.

The results were… divisive. But that’s kinda the point.

Judas Priest’s Rob Halford Talks Pride, Gay Rights And Lady Gaga

Judas Priest's Rob Halford

Judas Priest’s Rob Halford

It’s hard to underestimate the importance of openly gay Judas Priest singer Rob Halford coming out all those years ago.

Because when he did come out it forced rockers everywhere to confront their feelings about homosexuality. The internal monologue probably went something like this:

“Rob Halford’s a gayer?”

Yes.

“But he’s badass. So does that mean gay people can be badass?”

Yes.

“So I can still like Judas Priest because they’re still badass? And who gives a shit about who Rob Halford is sexizing anyway?”

Yes. Exactly.

… And the world became a slightly better place.

Sarah spoke to Halford about gay stuff leading up to the big WorldPride party happening in Toronto this weekend.
