The Perils Of Being An Adult With Size 4 Feet

Having small feet sucks.

Sarah has tiny feet.

This may not seem like the biggest problem in a Trump-based universe, but when the only shoes you can find in a shoe store are in the kids’ section, well, it sucks.

Sarah wrote about her peculiar podiatric predicament in a column for the fashion site Racked.

The Fashion World Loves Martial Arts

Fashion and martial arts have a connection.

A number of current high-profile models have been actively pursuing martial arts in recent years.

This has put a spotlight on the seemingly unusual connection between fashion and martial arts.

Sarah wrote about this for Asian World Of Martial Arts.

Gigi Hadid’s Aspirational Elbow

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid

A few months back elite supermodel and sometimes martial arts student Gig Hadid elbowed a super-creep named Vitalii Sediuk in the head after he grabbed her when she was leaving an event.

Hadid’s elbow didn’t just land on buddy’s face, it also landed on the face of every similar creep who ever deserved it as well. In an aspirational sense, at least.

Sarah wrote about the complex aftermath of the elbow for Fightland.

The Man Behind Ronda Rousey’s Hair

Ronda Rousey's hair game

Ronda Rousey’s hair game

One of the most dramatic differences between men and women in the mixed martial arts game involves hair.

The men, unrestrained by cultural pressures, often lean towards ultra-short, ultra-efficient hair.

Many of the women, however, still like to maintain long hair. When training and fighting so much this can sometimes be problematic. Sarah went to Abraham Esparza, the personal hair stylist for Ronda Rousey, to learn more about what’s involved in these athletes maintaining their manes.

Karl Lagerfeld’s Peculiar Boxing Fashions

Karl Lagerfeld boxing fashion

Karl Lagerfeld boxing fashion

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has set his sights on the boxing ring with a series of fight-inspired Vuitton items including a heavy bag and boxing gloves.

Considering Lagerfeld refuses to exercise in real life this appreciation is… peculiar.

So Sarah wrote about it for Fightland.

Three Artists Critique MMA Fashion

MMA Shirts

MMA Shirts

Despite being fans of the sport, we here at Risky Fuel loathe one thing about mixed martial arts — the shirts.

The amount of times we’ve burst into laughter at the sight of some tough guy walking to the ring in a shirt with a glittering skull with a snake coming out of the eye sockets, wrapped in chains, surrounded by daggers, in the clawed palm of a dragon (or some similar approximation) has been staggering.

But rather than commit a series of insults about these shirts to print, instead Sarah found three genuine artists and got them to critique some outlandish outfits.

11 Great Models Turned Musicians

Karen Elson and Kate Moss

Karen Elson and Kate Moss

In the way that only savvy content creators like us here at Risky Fuel are capable of, Sarah recently did a reverse-y of her recent 10 Great Musicians Turned Models feature and wrote up 11 Great Models Turned Musicians for Spinner.

It was illuminating because we now know that Kate Moss has performed with some really great bands — which is kinda infuriating. Other names on the list include Grace Jones and Jack White’s ex, Karen Elson.

To see the list — and photos of attractive models — head over to Spinner by clicking here.
