Eden, the film

Eden, the film

At last year’s Toronto International Film Festival Sarah spoke to director Mia Hansen-Løve about her film exploring the French house music scene of the ’90s, Eden.

At least that’s what happened with Sarah’s aunt when the improbable five-piece The DeFranco Family became pop royalty for a couple years in the early-1970s.

Sarah dug deep into how the band’s success — there was a point when only the Jacksons and Osmonds were bigger than them — affected a small town like Welland, Ontario.
