Jeff Burrows Drums 24 Hours Straight For Charity

Jeff Burrows, far left

Drummer Jeff Burrows is probably best known as one-third of the Can-Rock band The Tea Party as well as being a local Windsor area radio personality. It’s a different line on his resume which might be his most impressive, though — once a year he drums for 24 hours straight to benefit local Windsor-area charities.

I spoke to Burrows about how he trains for this and why he does it in a feature interview for Samaritanmag.

Wear Plaid For Dad Explained

Don Cherry wearing plaid

Don Cherry wearing plaid

If you noticed more-than-normal numbers of folks geared up in plaid leading up to Father’s Day there’s an explanation.

Prostate Cancer Canada kicked off a new campaign called Wear Plaid For Dad to coincide with the day. Like the title suggests, it mostly involves the act of wearing plaid. For a good cause.

In an article for Samaritan Mag I spoke to Prostate Cancer Canada’s Rocco Rossi who explained what the whole campaign was about.
