East coast rapper Classified was moved to action by the wild fires that engulfed Fort McMurray, Alberta to the point where he donated the proceeds of new song “Work Away” to area disaster relief initiatives.
It turns out, like most easterners, he has close connections to the Fort Mac.
He explained this all to me in a feature interview for Samaritan Mag.

Kimbo Slice
Street fighter-turned-pro fighter Kimbo Slice’s career had a somewhat cartoonish character to it before his sudden death at age 42. But there was nothing cartoonish about his even, thoughtful interactions in the autistic community.

In the wake of Muhammad Ali’s death there were a lot of right-leaning political and media figures bad-mouthing the former boxing champ for his political views.
In a learning piece for Fightland Sarah helped explain why Ali did the right thing when he refused to fight in the Vietnam War — and risked his career over it.
