Expert MMA analyst, occasional glam rocker and friend to the Risky Fuel household Robin Black was recently let go from his job at The Fight Network in a massive purge at the station.
We have reason to believe Black will land on his feet after this, though.

Abraham Lincoln, street fighter
Perhaps inspired by the face we’ve been casually rewatching Clone High here in the Risky Fuel HQ, Sarah recently wrote a piece about the surprising street fighting history of former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
Apparently Lincoln wasn’t afraid to throw down to prove a point. Which is perhaps a good reminder of what used to be when we have to look at what we have right now.

Very good boxer and self-promoter Floyd Mayweather and very good mixed martial artist and self-promoter Conor McGregor have been talking big about staging a fight between the two combat specialists for a number of months now.
Boxing vs MMA is one of the great “who would win?” questions in combat sports.
There are, however, other fighting disciplines that have been tested against each other in the past.

Swordmaster Isao Machii recently earned a Guinness World Record for Most Martial Arts Sword Cuts In One Minute (Rush Straw), making 87 separate precision sword slashes to a target in 60 seconds.
This follows Machii’s other world records for Fastest Tennis Ball Cut By Sword, Fastest BB Pellet Cut By Sword, Most Sword Cuts To Straw Mats In Three Minutes, Most Martial Arts Sword Cuts To One Mat and Fastest 1,000 Martial Arts Sword Cuts.
