A hockey fight
Considering that Sarah was brought up in an anti-hockey fight household, when Fightland tasked her with writing about hockey players dropping the gloves, it was bound to result in a particularly hot hottake.
Her summation: hockey players aren’t particularly good technical fighters and she still doesn’t really understand why they fight in the first place.

Robin Black
Expert MMA analyst, occasional glam rocker and friend to the Risky Fuel household Robin Black was recently let go from his job at The Fight Network in a massive purge at the station.
We have reason to believe Black will land on his feet after this, though.

The People’s Elbow, the signature finishing move performed by occasional grappler/full-time movie star The Rock, is one of the most electrifying moves in all of pro wrestling.
But why is it so effective?

Abraham Lincoln, street fighter
Perhaps inspired by the face we’ve been casually rewatching Clone High here in the Risky Fuel HQ, Sarah recently wrote a piece about the surprising street fighting history of former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
Apparently Lincoln wasn’t afraid to throw down to prove a point. Which is perhaps a good reminder of what used to be when we have to look at what we have right now.

Conor McGregor
Very good boxer and self-promoter Floyd Mayweather and very good mixed martial artist and self-promoter Conor McGregor have been talking big about staging a fight between the two combat specialists for a number of months now.
Boxing vs MMA is one of the great “who would win?” questions in combat sports.
There are, however, other fighting disciplines that have been tested against each other in the past.
