Fucked Up Knew They Wouldn’t Win The Polaris

Fucked Up

Fucked Up

Now that the 2012 Polaris Music Prize has been decided it was pretty clear from my interview with past champ and ’12 nominee Damian Abraham from Fucked Up that he was right when he said his band had no chance of winning for a second time.

YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN

YAMANTAKA // SONIC TITAN

This Week In Music History: September 16 – 22 — The Crime Edition

Jim Morrison & Willie Nelson

Jim Morrison & Willie Nelson

My “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.

For this edition I focused strictly on past crimes musicians were involved in and there were some truly rich ones. Jim Morrison of The Doors redefined the term “lizard king” and Willie Nelson got busted.
