Electro smut superstar Peaches has a new fighting-inspired video for the song “Close Up” that also features ex-Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon and the fabulous fighters of Lucha VaVoom.
It is amazing.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
The second piece from Sarah’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. quadrilogy from the last week or so was an analysis of the fighting techniques used by the spies in the U.N.C.L.E. film and television show.
What she learned was that the original Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin had a bit of Royce Gracie-like flair to their combat skills.

Misha Cirkunov
For all its size and bluster, the city of Toronto has yet to truly have a breakout mixed martial arts star.
Think of it as similar to what rap was like in the city pre-Drake.
Misha Cirkunov, a fighter recently signed by the UFC, is hoping to change that.

Floyd Mayweather
In a rather surprising (and a little bit sad) turn in the war of words between boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey, Floyd has begun trotting out the ol’ “I make more money than you” line to argue he’s awesome.
Of course, Mayweather still has to fight his full fights. Rousey just finishes hers in 30 seconds.

Roddy Piper
When pro wrestler/actor/entertainer Roddy Piper died on July 31 it sent a whole world who grew up on his moral grey area villainy in mourning.
He was, after all, The Joker to Hulk Hogan’s Batman, a villain in name, but more like a yin to Hogan’s yang. In hindsight he was also a was more rich and awesome character than the titular head of Hulkamania.
