The women of wrestling
Both the women of professional wrestling (see WWE’s rebranding of female talent as “Superstars as opposed to “Divas”) and mixed martial arts (the popularity of Ronda Rousey) are experiencing unprecedented new levels of popularity.

Cris “Cyborg” Justino
Cris “Cyborg” Justino, the most dominant female MMA fighter outside of the UFC will now be fighting inside the UFC.
Cyborg is too heavy to compete in UFC’s current female weight classes, but the recent success ($$) of Conor McGregor’s catchweight fight has encouraged the promotion to do more non-weight class-based fights.
Hence, Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith at UFC 198.
