Jared Keeso in Letterkenny
“How’re ye now?”
This simple phrase is both a greeting and secret code to identify devotees of the best Canadian show on television, Letterkenny.
In an alternate universe Letterkenny star and co-creator Jared Keeso might have never gotten to make his smalltown comedy about brawling and social cliques. That’s because a few years ago he got into a bigtown brawl that could have jeopardized his filming of a Don Cherry film as well as his career.
This winding exposition will all make sense if you head over to Fightland to read the interview Keeso did with Sarah about the punch-up in question.

Evil cat
Here’s a batch of video playlists I curated for Ditch TV where I got to collect a bit of pratfall and weirdness to go along with the music:
Channing Tatum: Modern Renaissance Man
The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphonies
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever
Colin Stetson’s Spooky Sax Sounds
R.E.M.’s Shiniest Happiest Hits
16 Covers of Drake’s “Hotline Bling”

Letterkenny
We’re super-big fans of the smalltown comedy Letterkenny here at the Risky Fuel household.
Not only do we marvel at the note-perfect characters — the simple-minded jocks, the methed out skids, the shirt-tucked farm boys — but we also marvel at the note-perfect smalltown fight culture.
Sarah wrote about why it’s so great in a piece for Fightland.
