The latest edition of my Polaris People column is online over at the Polaris Music Prize website.
In this latest edition we track Drake getting back in touch with his smalltown roots (not really), appreciate the subtle art of a Ron Sexsmith zinger, and check in with everything Tegan And Sara are doing.

Julie Cypher, Melissa Etheridge & David Crosby
My latest “This Week In Music History” feature went out again this week over at the Spinner.
This week’s theme was “children” — how Melissa Etheridge used David Crosby‘s sperm to get them, Pete Townshend‘s peculiar relationship to them, and a lamentation that Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson never produced them.

Justin Bieber
Normally we here at Risky Fuel don’t care much either way for Justin Bieber, but when Sarah was tasked with putting together a list of the 20 best Bieber moments of 2012 everything changed.
See, if you disregard his music, just take it out of the equation entirely, and focus on only the weird and outlandish things he gets himself involved in, you’ve got some gold.
So, to read about the chrome-plated car he gave away to Sean Kingston, how disease scientists tracked his popularity like a legitimate infection, or how he vomited onstage head over to Huffington Post Music Canada by clicking here.
