Spectre, the latest installment in the James Bond spy series, is now living dangerously in movie theatres everywhere.

By now lots of people have figured out that good 007 movies aren’t just about Bond himself, they’re also about the adventures he undertakes, the villains he faces and, perhaps most importantly, the women he encounters.

Sarah went back through the Bond films to get a handle on what it’s meant to be a Bond girl through the ages.

There’s A Duchess Who Hosts Real Fights At Hogwarts

Lady Jane Percy is the Duchess of Northumberland. She’s also the woman responsible for maintaining the real-life Hogwarts castle.

One of the ways she does that is by hosting mixed martial arts fights in the estate’s gardens.

She also grows opium legally.

As strange a notion as it may seem to anyone who’s old man used to go to the local Royal Canadian Legion a few times a week, there are people who don’t know what that annual Poppy campaign the Legion runs is.

With that in mind I wrote a bit of a Remembrance Day explainer for people.

Because the world was pearl-clutching about a prospective new app to match up consensual street fights between aggro adults looking for a brawl the folks at Fightland made Sarah take a bit closer look.

Her observations: 1) It’s a ludicrous idea, and 2) It’s probably fake.

She was right.
